TVS-Owned Norton V4 Set for Global Debut at EICMA 2025: India Launch on Horizon

Norton Motorcycles, under the ownership of TVS Motor Company, is gearing up to unveil its first all-new motorcycle since the 2020 acquisition a reimagined Norton V4 superbike. Spotted testing with TVS MD Sudarshan Venu at the helm, this premium sportbike is set to debut globally on November 4, 2025, at EICMA in Milan, Italy. This launch marks a significant milestone in Norton’s resurgence, blending British heritage with TVS’s engineering prowess.

Norton V4: Design and Features

Norton V4

The new Norton V4 boasts an aggressive design, featuring sleek headlights, integrated DRLs, and a redesigned fairing that signals a bold departure from its predecessor. The bike’s committed riding position, fully adjustable USD forks, rear monoshock, disc brakes, and 17-inch wheels underscore its performance-driven ethos. Equipped with a six-speed gearbox and a bidirectional quickshifter, the V4 is poised to incorporate advanced electronic aids to compete in the premium superbike segment. While engine capacity and power figures remain under wraps, expectations are high for a performance-focused V4 engine, likely in the 1200cc range, delivering around 185 bhp, based on existing models like the V4SV.

TVS’s Strategic Vision for Norton

TVS acquired Norton for ₹153 crore in 2020, investing over ₹1,000 crore to revitalize the brand through R&D and a new Solihull, UK, facility capable of producing 8,000 motorcycles annually. The India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will reduce import tariffs from 100% to 10%, aiding Norton’s entry into India by late 2025 with flagship models like the Commando 961, V4SV, and V4CR as Completely Built Units (CBUs). TVS plans to manufacture smaller 350-450cc and 600-650cc Norton models at its Hosur plant, targeting Royal Enfield and Triumph in India’s premium retro market by 2027.

India Launch and Future Plans

While the Norton V4 is expected to launch in India post its global debut, TVS will initially focus on smaller-displacement motorcycles to capture the competitive 350-450cc segment. A 300cc modern classic is slated for 2028, with six new models planned globally by 2027. Social media buzz on X reflects excitement for Norton’s return, with posts highlighting the EICMA reveal and its aggressive styling.

Norton’s V4 launch at EICMA 2025 signals a new era for the iconic brand, with TVS leveraging its manufacturing expertise to position Norton as a premium contender globally and in India. Stay tuned for more updates as Norton redefines the superbike landscape.
